Creative work needs a venue, a publicist, and a champion; as a producer, I get work from the page to the stage. From fashion shows to films, I’ve produced a number of professional events. Team building and creative problem solving are part of my holistic approach.
Theater and Film
· Playhouse Creatures. CoHo Productions.
In collaboration with CoHo Productions and co-producer McKenna Twedt, I fundraised production costs including a grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, assembled the team and facilitated casting, visited high schools and local book clubs for marketing and outreach, scheduled meetings and technical rehearsals, and coordinated lobby art installation.
· “Nemesis.” Potty Talk Productions, Hearts & Sparks Productions.
A short comedy film about the relationship between free speech and white privilege, as told through a single Scrabble game. I wrote, produced, and starred in this comedy short. It was awarded a grant through the POST-TRUTH Project, a collaboration of Open Signal and Lower Boom, that provided production funds, a public screening and distribution of the film on the Hotel Eastlund Lower Boom channel.
· Potty Talk. Potty Talk Productions.
Potty Talk is a sketch comedy project I create, write, direct, produce and act in. Under its umbrella, I have made close to 50 online comedy sketches that play with bodies and relationships. Smart situations in quirky worlds flip gender stereotypes on their head and play with social norms. Received a Regional Arts and Culture Grant in 2015 for production costs.
